Recently, my friend Gabe got a job at Gamestop. 2 weeks ago he saw a mom come in with her son. He greeted them and the little boy flipped him off. Already off to a good start. The mom goes and checks out the NFC figure section while the boy looks at the games for the PS3/4. He grabs a copy of CoD and a Steam card and goes up to Gabe to pay for it. Gabe asks the mom to come up to the counter. She goes up there and Gabe explains that her son can't buy it without her permission because it was rated M. He then goes into detail about the game and the mom is enraged. She starts yelling at her kid and then calls her husband. Gabe is stuck there watching it all go down. He's trying not to laugh as well. The kid asks for him to scan the Steam card. The kid says he's gonna buy FNaF with it which makes this scene even better. Later the dad comes in with a bunch of his games and consoles and returns them. They stormed out without the games or consoles or gift card but with a puffy-eyed kid instead.
Just an average day at Gamestop.

When I worked for gamestop ( I don't suggest unless you have a ton of patience) our store was ran a bit different then most. Our manager would often times when he knew someone wasn't performing well that week pass customer over to us. Like if one week I just wasn't getting my pre orders like normal he would tell people his register wasn't allowing pre orders and send them over.
So we had this customer who came in every Tuesday and Friday like he was scheduled to show up. On Friday he would drop his check on pre orders and collectables and other stuff. And Tuesday he would come in and return it.
Now we were not allowed to turn him away due to company policies and I didn't care to much except the fact that you cancel multiple preorders it hurts us. Luckily our manager had our back.
So one week he comes in and preorders like 5 games. Puts 20 on each and goes on his way. Me and my manager both knew Tuesday he would be back for his money.
So Tuesday morning I open up and he is the first one there. Comes in and right away says he need it all back. So I go to the computer and weirdly his pre orders are gone. I tell him they were canceled the day before. He gets pissed and pulls out his receipt saying look here it is. So I told him yesterday one of the others that work here gave you your money.
After lots of back and forth he finely left saying he was getting the police. Little did he know we have cams right behind the register to prevent theft. My manager pulled the footage and had it ready to show anyone who came in asking about it.
Went out for a smoke break and here he comes with a cop in tow. They come in and we show them the footage we had. The cop said he was gonna take our friend down town for wasting time. Dude freaks out starts running around the store knocking over cases and rack and boxs
So glad I don't work there any more
